Tragic Incident in Agadir: Phone Charger Causes Violent House Fire

A fire broke out in a house in the Lqliâa area, southeast of Agadir, on the evening of Wednesday, March 19, caused by a phone charger left plugged in for an extended period. Local authorities, the Royal Gendarmerie, and Civil Protection teams quickly intervened to contain the intense blaze that erupted in the home.

Thanks to the rapid response of the emergency teams, the fire was brought under control before it could spread to neighboring houses and cause further damage. According to local sources, there were no human casualties, but the fire caused significant material damage inside the affected home.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the fire was caused by the overheating of a phone charger that had been left plugged in for too long. This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers associated with the improper use of electronic devices and the failure to adhere to safety standards.

This fire comes just months after a tragic incident in Témara, where a massive blaze claimed the lives of five young girls in a house in the Massira neighborhood. These incidents highlight the importance of following safety precautions when using electrical and electronic devices to prevent similar disasters.
