Weather Alert: Strong Winds and Dust Storms to Hit Several Regions of Morocco on Thursday

The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) issued a warning on Wednesday, alerting citizens to strong winds with speeds ranging between 75 and 85 kilometers per hour, accompanied by dust storms, expected to affect several regions of the Kingdom on Thursday.

According to a statement from the Directorate, these strong winds will impact, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., the provinces of Figuig, Boulemane, Azilal, Sidi Bennour, Safi, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, Youssoufia, Marrakech, Essaouira, Midelt, Errachidia, Tinghir, and Ouarzazate. An orange-level alert has been issued to warn citizens of these challenging weather conditions.

The General Directorate of Meteorology advised residents in the affected areas to take necessary precautions, especially given the reduced visibility caused by dust storms, and to avoid unnecessary travel during periods of intense wind.
