As part of ongoing efforts to enhance public health awareness, the Regional Health and Social Protection Delegation of Moulay Yacoub Province, in coordination with the Local Scientific Council and under the supervision of the Regional Health Directorate of Fes-Meknes, organized an awareness session on measles. The event took place on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Lababda Mosque in Ain Cheggag.
This initiative is part of a joint communication program targeting women, aimed at raising awareness about measles, its complications, and prevention methods—especially vaccination, which serves as a crucial protective barrier against the disease.
During the session, experts emphasized the importance of vaccination as a safe and effective measure to protect individuals and the broader community. Mothers were urged to ensure that their children under 18 receive the full set of vaccinations according to the national immunization schedule.
The event witnessed positive engagement, with around 100 participants actively discussing measles prevention methods and expressing their commitment to supporting health initiatives and collaborating to curb the spread of the disease.
