The Justice and Development Party (PJD) expressed its appreciation and that of its members for the royal message sent by the king to citizens, in which he called for not performing the sacrificial ritual on this year’s Eid al-Adha. At the same time, the party emphasized the importance of celebrating Eid according to the usual rituals, including Eid prayers in chapels and mosques, giving alms, and connecting the womb, as well as manifestations of blessing and thanking God for his blessings.
The party’s General Secretariat expressed its high praise for the contents of the royal message, which shows the King’s keenness to provide all the necessary means for citizens to continue practicing the conditions of religion and its sunnahs, and praised the royal wisdom that recommended not holding the sacrificial ritual this year, due to the economic and climatic challenges facing Morocco and the significant decline in livestock numbers, this initiative aims to alleviate citizens, especially those with limited income, under these difficult circumstances.
The party stresses that this royal initiative does not exempt the government from its responsibility to take the necessary measures to strengthen the agricultural and livestock sectors. The party stresses the need to launch an urgent program to support these sectors and stimulate the reconstitution of the national herd of livestock, and criticizes the import of livestock, which is considered ineffective in improving the situation and promotes tax and customs exemptions and financial support without tangible benefit. It is feared that this will ultimately weaken the national herd.
