Fes is currently hosting the First International Conference on Entrepreneurship and Innovation Systems in Africa, taking place on April 4 and 5, 2025. The conference is organized by the National School of Business and Management in Fes, in collaboration with the Higher School of Economic and Commercial Sciences of Tunisia and the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières, with participation from a number of international and African academic partners.
The goal of the conference is to foster cooperation between academic actors and entrepreneurs from across the African continent through the exchange of experiences and knowledge related to the development of entrepreneurship and innovation in Africa, in alignment with sustainable development goals. The conference also aims to highlight the challenges and opportunities facing entrepreneurial ventures in Africa, while exploring the role of technology and innovation in boosting African economies.
The conference program includes a series of specialized seminars and workshops focusing on vital topics, such as the impact of artificial intelligence on startups, ways to finance innovative enterprises, and innovation in clean technologies. Additionally, there will be a roundtable discussion on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Tunisia, as well as discussions on the challenges of digital transformation, social and solidarity economies, and youth entrepreneurship in Africa.
The conference has seen participation from various academic and economic institutions from several African countries, including Ivory Coast, Senegal, Niger, and Cameroon, reflecting the continent’s commitment to developing a conducive environment for supporting entrepreneurship. The event also reinforces Fes’ position as a key global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
The conference will continue until tomorrow, with participants looking forward to achieving practical results that contribute to supporting and developing entrepreneurship in Africa, while enhancing cooperation between African countries in this vital field.
