This morning, Fes News covered an environmental awareness campaign organized by the Saïs district in partnership with Mecoumar for Environmental Services, a company specializing in waste management in Fes 2. The campaign targeted various neighborhoods within the administrative district of Monflori, focusing on raising awareness among residents about the importance of preserving the environment and their role in reducing waste accumulation.
The campaign was attended by Saïs district councilor, Mrs. Somaya Khrach, who spoke to Fes News about the significance of this initiative in changing citizens’ attitudes towards waste. Khrach explained: “The goal of this campaign is to improve environmental awareness among citizens. We must all work to spread this message within homes, educating both children and adults.”
The campaign also addressed several “black spots” in the region where waste accumulation is a significant issue, which represents one of the main challenges faced by the Saïs district. The campaign emphasized the need for collaboration between citizens and sanitation workers to overcome these problems, underlining the importance of adhering to sound environmental practices.
Through this initiative, the Saïs district aims to promote a culture of cleanliness and environmental consciousness among residents, contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment for future generations.
