A local source informed Fes News that a concerning incident took place this morning in the Champs de Course neighborhood near Agdal Clinic in Fez, where two children were trapped inside an elevator due to a sudden power outage. One of the children suffers from asthma, which heightened the severity of the situation and caused panic among residents.
According to the building’s security guard, the power cut was due to ongoing construction work in Fez. However, residents were not given any prior notice by RADEEF (the local water and electricity distribution company), which violates legal procedures requiring authorities to inform residents in advance—especially in areas heavily reliant on elevators.
Residents expressed deep frustration over these recurring, unannounced power outages, stressing that this is not an isolated incident but a widespread issue affecting multiple neighborhoods in Fez.
