The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued an alert regarding expected snowfall on Monday and Tuesday in several Moroccan provinces. Areas exceeding 1,800 meters in altitude are expected to receive between 5 and 15 centimeters of snow.
According to a statement from the Directorate, snowfall ranging from 10 to 15 centimeters is anticipated in the provinces of Azilal, Beni Mellal, Midelt, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, and Al Haouz. The Directorate has declared an orange alert level for these provinces due to the expected weather conditions.
Additionally, snowfall ranging from 5 to 10 centimeters is forecasted for the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Taroudant, and Chichaoua during the same period.
The General Directorate of Meteorology urges citizens, especially those in affected areas, to exercise caution and take necessary measures to ensure their safety, while adhering to the instructions of local authorities and relevant agencies.
