The police elements in the Meknes security jurisdiction, in coordination with the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance, were able to arrest a person suspected of being linked to a criminal network active in the trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The suspect was arrested at the entrance to the city of Meknes, immediately after his arrival in a light vehicle coming from one of the cities in the north of the Kingdom. The search operation resulted in the seizure of 2,500 hallucinogenic tablets of the “Rivotril” type and 500 grams of cocaine in his possession.
The suspect has been subjected to judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to determine the other aspects related to this criminal activity, as well as to arrest the other participants and contributors in the commission of these acts.
