In a chilling development, the investigative judge at the Court of Appeals in Settat ordered the detention of the primary suspect in the gruesome murder case that has rocked the city of Ben Ahmed. The suspect was placed in “Ali Moumen” local prison on Wednesday, pending a detailed investigation into serious charges including premeditated murder, mutilation of corpses, and aggravated theft.
This judicial move follows intensive field and forensic investigations conducted by judicial police units and the regional criminal squad since Sunday. These efforts led to the discovery of dismembered human remains scattered across multiple locations, including public restrooms adjacent to the city’s Grand Mosque, fields near Al-Wahda School, the suspect’s residence, and other public toilets.
