In accordance with a ruling by the Appeals Court for Financial Crimes in Fez, the former MP and ex-mayor of Moulay Yacoub has been summoned from Bourkaiz Prison to appear before the court today, Wednesday, September 11, 2024. The session, scheduled for 9:00 AM in courtroom 02, will address the serious charges brought against him, including financial crimes and abuse of power.
The charges include:
- Abuse of power
- Bribery
- Forgery of official documents
- Embezzlement of public funds
- Issuing certificates with false information
These accusations have been filed under various articles of the Moroccan Penal Code, including Articles 129, 241, 248, 250, 251, 360, and 366.
The plaintiff in this case is the territorial commune of Moulay Yacoub, which has reportedly suffered significant damages due to these actions.
