Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Glorious Throne Day, the General Directorate of National Security launched a series of new security facilities in several Moroccan cities on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.
These facilities include the “Al-Fakhara” Police District in Marrakech, as well as two traffic accident services in the cities of Sidi Yahya El Gharb and Mechraa Belksiri.
The establishment of these new security structures comes as part of the General Directorate of National Security’s strategy aimed at bringing police services closer to citizens and enhancing security coverage in major urban areas, while taking into account geographical expansion and demographic growth in various Moroccan cities.
In Marrakech, the new headquarters of the “Al-Fakhara” Police District was inaugurated in a neighborhood of the same name in the Sidi Youssef Ben Ali security area. This facility is characterized by its proximity to residents and its modern equipment. It also includes an annexed office dedicated to issuing national identity cards and criminal records.
In Sidi Yahya El Gharb and Mechraa Belksiri, two new traffic accident services were opened. These services will be responsible for investigating traffic accidents and providing administrative and preventive police services related to road safety.
It’s worth noting that the General Directorate of National Security has embarked in recent years on implementing a plan to develop and modernize police facilities, with the aim of improving working conditions for employees and enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens.
