In a general assembly held on Friday, Hicham Chagour was elected as the new president of the Morocco Al Fassi Football Association.
The move comes as part of the association’s efforts to strengthen its management structure and bring greater stability to the team.
As part of the preparations for the next phase, the association recently announced the opening of the registration process for new members, by paying the prescribed amounts for this purpose.
Following his election, Chaqour revealed the main goals that he aims to achieve during his tenure, most notably the settlement of outstanding players’ dues and the resolution of current disputes, in order to lift the ban on new signings.
Chaqour also announced the hiring of Italian coach Arena, who will work alongside his assistant Belbakri. In another move, Tarek Shehab has been appointed as the team’s sports director, as part of a strategy to enhance the club’s technical and administrative performance.
In a related context, Morocco Al Fassi also finalized the transfer of Ayman Derani, who joined the team for three seasons from Wydad.
