In a significant move towards improving judicial services and enhancing cooperation between government institutions, the Ministry of Justice and the General Directorate of National Security in Morocco signed a protocol agreement on Wednesday aimed at organizing and facilitating electronic data exchange.
A joint statement issued by both parties explained that this agreement will allow for the verification and completion of citizens’ personal data according to the information contained in the electronic national identification card. This measure will help expedite and improve the processing of cases presented before Moroccan courts.
The agreement included defining the rules and channels for information exchange, with precise controls to ensure the physical and electronic security of the data. The statement also emphasized full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, especially concerning the protection of citizens’ personal data.
To ensure effective implementation of the agreement, the formation of a joint follow-up committee comprising representatives from both signatory parties was announced. This committee will be responsible for monitoring the proper execution of the agreement’s terms.
This collaboration comes as part of the efforts to modernize the justice system in Morocco and improve services provided to citizens, reflecting the government’s commitment to enhancing efficiency and transparency in the judicial sector.
The agreement is expected to streamline judicial processes and contribute to the overall improvement of the justice system, benefiting both the institutions involved and the citizens they serve. It represents a step forward in the digital transformation of government services in Morocco.
