The General Directorate of Meteorology issued a special warning bulletin, warning of an exceptional heat wave expected to hit the Kingdom of Morocco starting from Wednesday, July 10, and continuing until the 18th of the same month.
The bulletin indicated that this will be the first severe heat wave of the season, with temperatures expected to rise significantly, exceeding 49 degrees Celsius in some areas.
The General Directorate of Meteorology urged citizens to exercise caution during this period, calling on them to take the necessary preventive measures to avoid the negative effects of high temperatures.
The authorities advised drinking adequate amounts of water, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight, especially during peak hours, and paying special attention to the elderly, children, and those with chronic illnesses.
This heat wave comes at a time when the world is witnessing a significant rise in temperatures due to climate changes, necessitating vigilance and cooperation from all segments of society to deal with these exceptional weather conditions.
