His Majesty King Mohammed VI hosted a royal dinner on the evening of Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Mechouar Stinia – Sahrij Souani site in Meknès, in honor of invited guests and participants in the 18th edition of the International Agriculture Show in Morocco. The event was chaired by Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch.
The banquet was attended in particular by the Speakers of both houses of Parliament, members of the government, as well as African ministers and officials in charge of agriculture. Also present were members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Morocco, alongside the Wali of the Fès–Meknès region, the Governor of Fès Prefecture, the Governor of Meknès, and several prominent figures.
On this occasion, the Head of Government presented excellence awards to a number of stakeholders in the agricultural sector. The honors included 12 awards for the best production units at the regional level, 12 awards for the best units by sector, and 16 prizes recognizing outstanding contributions within the exhibition’s thematic clusters.
This recognition comes as part of ongoing efforts to promote the development of the agricultural sector in the Kingdom and strengthen its momentum, contributing to food security and reinforcing Morocco’s position as a key player in agriculture at both regional and international levels.
