Taounate, October 23, 2024 – The Timezgana community in Taounate province is preparing to host the fourth edition of the Timezgana Forum for Culture and Mountain Heritage from October 24 to 26, 2024, under the theme “Water Resource Development as a Fundamental Lever for Sustainable Development.”
The forum is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Province of Taounate, the Fez-Meknes Regional Council, the Provincial Council of Taounate, along with the Initiatives Forum Association for Development and Solidarity and local civil society organizations.
One of the program’s highlights is an exhibition of local products aimed at showcasing the region’s economic potential. The exhibition will provide visitors with a space to discover the diversity of local products and facilitate their marketing, particularly honey, olive oil, and dried figs.
The forum will also feature a “Heritage March” with the participation of various folkloric groups from the Taounate province. The march will traverse the streets and squares of Timezgana community on Saturday, October 26, presenting diverse artistic performances combining folklore, traditional songs, and local and regional cultural heritage.
This event is part of the association’s and its partners’ efforts to promote the region’s local products across all levels and encourage the local economy while creating diverse opportunities for investors in this field.
