The Moroccan Meteorological Agency has issued a weather alert forecasting heavy rainfall in numerous regions across the kingdom in the coming hours. These forecasts are based on the latest outputs of the American Global Forecast System.
According to the bulletin, the areas expected to experience these heavy rains include, in particular: Frita, Tatat Haj, Missour, Qassabi, Midelt, Tounfit, Imilchil, Tabant, Zaida, Anjil, Achlouj, Timحضيت, Gigou, Boulmane, and Marmousha.
The forecasts also indicate the possibility of these rains extending to other areas such as Ifrane, Azrou, Sefrou, and Lamass, Khenifra, Mrirt, Ain Leuh, Al Qbab, Ar Rach, Krama, Talsint, Anoual, Maaterka, Dبدو, Al Atif, Jerada, Al Marija, Jersif, Taza, Aknoul, Targuist, and Isakn.
In light of these forecasts, the competent authorities have urged citizens in these areas to exercise caution and take all necessary precautions, given the possibility of heavy rainfall that may lead to local disturbances and flash floods.
The concerned authorities urge citizens to follow updated weather bulletins and adhere to the instructions issued by local authorities to ensure their safety. Drivers are also urged to exercise caution while driving, especially in mountainous areas and on roads that may be affected by these weather conditions.
