The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has forecasted snowfall ranging between 5 and 30 centimeters on heights exceeding 1,700 meters, as well as heavy rainfall between 20 and 30 mm, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, on Monday and Tuesday in several regions of the Kingdom.
In an orange-level alert bulletin, the DGM indicated that snowfall ranging between 15 and 30 centimeters is expected from Monday at 12:00 PM until Tuesday at 07:00 AM in the provinces of Azilal, Beni Mellal, Midelt, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, and Al Haouz.
The same source also predicted snowfall ranging between 5 and 10 centimeters during the same period in the provinces of Ifrane, Boulemane, Taroudant, and Chichaoua.
Additionally, the DGM forecasted heavy rainfall between 20 and 30 mm, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, on Tuesday from 00:00 to 07:00 AM in the provinces of Figuig, Errachidia, Midelt, and Tinghir.
These forecasts are part of the alerts issued by the Directorate to warn citizens and relevant authorities to take necessary measures to cope with the challenging weather conditions.
