A huge fire broke out on Wednesday morning in a house in the center of Beni Walid community on the outskirts of Taounate, causing significant material losses.
Members of the Royal Gendarmerie, local authorities and a number of citizens rushed to the scene as soon as they received the news of the fire, where they worked to evacuate the occupants of the neighboring house and prevent the fire from spreading to them.
According to local sources, the fire did not cause any loss of life, but a woman who lived in the house fainted and was taken to the hospital to receive the necessary treatments.
According to the sources, the fire consumed the entire house, as well as a neighboring area consisting of a reed fence.
The causes of the fire are still unknown, while the competent authorities have opened an investigation to find out the circumstances of the incident.
