The Meknes Court of Appeal upheld the judgement of a previous court of first instance in Meknes, which convicted two judicial officers from the Midelt region to ten years imprisonment each.
The conviction was based on their involvement in forgery by drafting a document containing maliciously false information.
The defendants were also ordered to pay a civil compensation of 10,000 Moroccan Dirhams to the plaintiff, with costs to be borne jointly, while one of the defendants was ordered to pay the minimum compensation, while the other was exempted from this execution.
This case highlights the importance of integrity in the judicial process and the serious consequences of undermining it through acts of fraud.
