Taounate – Abdelhak Abou Salem, Vice-President of the Fes-Meknes Regional Council, announced the awarding of the contract for the construction of the fourth section of the project to duplicate National Road No. 8 linking Fes and Taounate, with a budget of 137.273 million dirhams.
Abou Salem explained that the contract was awarded to “Les Grands Chantiers Routiers” in Skhirat, with work set to begin at the entrance to the city of Fes, while this section will be carried out in two phases.
The project to duplicate National Road No. 8 between Fes and Taounate extends over 73 kilometers and includes the construction of 11 engineering structures, including a structure over the Ouergha River, where the completion rate has exceeded 45%, at a cost of approximately 110 million dirhams.
The project is being carried out as part of a partnership between the Fes-Meknes Regional Council, the Ministry of Equipment and Water, the Agency for the Promotion and Development of the North, and the Taounate Provincial Council, with a total budget of approximately 15.6 billion centimes, while the Regional Council’s contribution amounts to 485 million dirhams, according to data presented by the regional official.
Regarding the progress of the works, the first section linking the commune of Ouled Daoud with the center of Taounate has been completed, at a cost of approximately 260 million dirhams, while the completion rate of the second section has exceeded 90%, at a cost of 303 million dirhams. Meanwhile, the third section has reached a completion rate of approximately 25%, with a budget of 324 million dirhams.

Taounate – Abdelhak Abou Salem, vice-président du Conseil de la région Fès-Meknès, a annoncé l’attribution du marché relatif à la réalisation du quatrième tronçon du projet de dédoublement de la route nationale n°8 reliant Fès à Taounate, pour un montant de 137,273 millions de dirhams.
Abou Salem a précisé que le marché a été attribué à la société « Les Grands Chantiers Routiers » de Skhirat, les travaux devant démarrer à l’entrée de la ville de Fès, tandis que ce tronçon sera réalisé en deux phases.
Le projet de dédoublement de la route nationale n°8 entre Fès et Taounate s’étend sur 73 kilomètres et comprend également la réalisation de 11 ouvrages d’art, dont un ouvrage sur l’oued Ouergha, où le taux d’avancement des travaux a dépassé 45 %, pour un coût avoisinant 110 millions de dirhams.
Le projet est réalisé dans le cadre d’un partenariat entre le Conseil de la région Fès-Meknès, le ministère de l’Équipement et de l’Eau, l’Agence pour la promotion et le développement du Nord et le Conseil provincial de Taounate, pour un coût global avoisinant 15,6 milliards de centimes, tandis que la contribution du Conseil régional s’élève à 485 millions de dirhams, selon les données présentées par le responsable régional.
Concernant l’avancement des travaux, le premier tronçon reliant la commune d’Ouled Daoud au centre de Taounate a été achevé, pour un coût d’environ 260 millions de dirhams, tandis que le taux de réalisation du deuxième tronçon a dépassé 90 %, pour un coût de 303 millions de dirhams. Quant au troisième tronçon, son taux d’avancement a atteint environ 25 %, pour une enveloppe financière de 324 millions de dirhams.
