According to the same information, the project’s total financial cost amounts to approximately 16.16 million dirhams. The planned works include sewerage networks, the development of sidewalks and their edges, road leveling, the installation of asphalt concrete, as well as tree planting, green spaces, public lighting, road signage and urban furniture.
The available information indicates that the project experienced delays in the implementation of the works over the past several months, due to reasons described as technical as well as others related to the contractor, before the contract was terminated, according to the reported information, on August 25, 2025.
As part of the procedures to complete the project, the available information indicates that a new contract was announced to complete the works. It was awarded to ABMB in Fes, with the completion operation expected to begin in the coming days.
According to the reported information, the president of the Taza communal council had previously submitted two requests to the Ministry of the Interior with the aim of contributing to addressing the constraints related to the project, resulting in two financial grants.
The first grant, according to the same information, amounts to 800,000 dirhams, as a contribution from the Directorate General of Local Authorities, allocated to relocating high- and medium-voltage electricity poles. The second grant amounts to 4.5 million dirhams, also as a contribution from the Directorate General of Local Authorities, to complete the funding allocated for the development works.
According to the available information, the resumption of the pace of construction is expected to help move the Al Kifan Avenue development project beyond the period of delays it experienced and improve the condition of this road axis, which extends over a significant distance within the city.
Compliance with completion deadlines and the quality of the planned works will remain among the factors determining the success of this new phase of the project, particularly after the delays that accompanied the implementation of the previous contract.
Taza – L’avenue Al Kifan, dans la ville de Taza, a fait l’objet d’une visite de terrain du président du conseil communal, Mounir Chentir, afin de s’informer des dispositions préliminaires liées à l’achèvement des travaux d’aménagement de cet axe routier, qui s’étend sur près de 1 800 mètres, depuis la mosquée Imam Malik jusqu’à l’intersection avec l’avenue Tariq Al Wahda, selon les informations disponibles et rapportées.
Selon les mêmes informations, le coût financier global du projet s’élève à environ 16,16 millions de dirhams. Les travaux programmés comprennent notamment les réseaux d’assainissement, l’aménagement des trottoirs et de leurs bordures, la remise à niveau de la chaussée, la réalisation d’un revêtement en béton bitumineux, ainsi que la plantation d’arbres, les espaces verts, l’éclairage public, la signalisation routière et le mobilier urbain.
Les informations disponibles indiquent que le projet a connu, au cours des derniers mois, des difficultés dans l’exécution des travaux, pour des raisons qualifiées de techniques et d’autres liées à l’entreprise, avant que le marché ne soit résilié, selon les informations rapportées, le 25 août 2025.
Dans le cadre des procédures visant à achever le projet, les informations disponibles indiquent qu’un nouveau marché a été lancé pour poursuivre les travaux. Celui-ci a été attribué à la société ABMB à Fès, avec un démarrage de l’opération d’achèvement prévu dans les prochains jours.
Selon les informations rapportées, le président du conseil communal de Taza avait auparavant adressé deux demandes au ministère de l’Intérieur afin de contribuer à résoudre les contraintes liées au projet, lesquelles ont abouti à l’octroi de deux aides financières.
La première aide, selon les mêmes informations, s’élève à 800 000 dirhams, sous forme de contribution de la Direction générale des collectivités territoriales, destinée au déplacement des poteaux électriques de haute et moyenne tension. La deuxième aide s’élève à 4,5 millions de dirhams, également sous forme de contribution de la Direction générale des collectivités territoriales, destinée à compléter le financement prévu pour les travaux d’aménagement.
Selon les informations disponibles, la reprise du rythme des travaux devrait contribuer à sortir le projet d’aménagement de l’avenue Al Kifan de la phase de retard qu’il a connue et à améliorer l’état de cet axe routier, qui s’étend sur une distance importante à l’intérieur de la ville.
Le respect des délais d’exécution et la qualité des travaux programmés resteront parmi les éléments qui détermineront la réussite de cette nouvelle phase du projet, notamment après les difficultés ayant accompagné l’exécution du précédent marché.
