Fes – Morocco’s General Directorate of Meteorology expects hot weather to continue across several areas of the Fes-Meknes Region today, Saturday, August 8, 2026, with a possibility of thunderstorms and localized rainfall in mountainous areas.
Today’s weather forecast covers Fes Prefecture, Meknes Prefecture, Taza Province, Taounate Province, Ifrane Province, Sefrou Province, Boulemane Province, El Hajeb Province, and Moulay Yacoub Province.
According to weather data, temperatures will reach 43°C in Fes and Taounate, while temperatures in Meknes will reach 41°C. In Ifrane, temperatures will range between 22°C and 31°C.
The remaining provinces of the Fes-Meknes Region — Taza, Sefrou, Boulemane, El Hajeb, and Moulay Yacoub — will experience hot weather to varying degrees, with the possibility of thunderstorms and localized rainfall in mountainous areas.
At the national level, the General Directorate of Meteorology expects thunderstorms, occasionally accompanied by hail, over the High Atlas and Middle Atlas Mountains and their eastern foothills, along with relatively strong wind gusts in several areas.
