Fez Investor Tells FesNews: “Fake Resident Objections” Paralyze Rokhas Economic Licensing Platform and Warrant Central Audit

FES NEWS MEDIA – EXCLUSIVE: An investor in the city of Fez sounded the alarm in an exclusive statement to FesNews over what he described as the “hollowing out of the Rokhas digital platform for economic and commercial licenses,” asserting that the digital portal created to streamline administrative procedures and curb bureaucracy has been compromised by maneuvers that abruptly terminate investment projects.

The investor explained to FesNews that project holders frequently see their digital applications rejected with a standardized message stating: “We apologize for not licensing your project due to residents’ objection”—even in the complete absence of any objective, technical, or legal grounds justifying such an objection.

Allegations of Orchestrated “Fictitious Objections” in Fez Municipal Districts

The source disclosed that his own investment project encountered this exact obstacle after an official at one of the districts of the Municipality of Fez allegedly instructed a neighbor to file a “fictitious residents’ objection” solely to manufacture an administrative pretext blocking the issuance of his economic license.

“The Rokhas economic licensing platform has been rendered ineffective by tricks that kill project dreams with the phrase ‘rejected due to residents’ objection’ without any objective basis. My story is not unique—suspicions of extortion and bribery around economic licenses have become the talk of cafés across Fez.” — Fez Investor to FesNews.

Call for an Independent Central Audit Committee and Public Prosecution Investigation

Stressing that his experience is far from isolated, the investor called through FesNews for the dispatch of an independent central audit committee to inspect rejected and pending economic license files on the Rokhas platform across Fez’s municipal districts, verify the authenticity of cited resident objections, and refer any suspected manipulation, extortion, or corruption to the competent Public Prosecution, while the right of reply remains guaranteed to the Municipality of Fez and its six districts in accordance with the Press and Publishing Code.
