Fès – Selon plusieurs médias, le Maghreb Association Sportive de Fès (MAS) est parvenu à un accord avec l’attaquant international sud-africain Tshegofatso Mabasa afin de renforcer son effectif durant le mercato estival, en préparation de la saison 2026-2027.
D’après le journaliste sportif ghanéen Micky Jnr, le joueur aurait signé un contrat de deux saisons, assorti d’une option de prolongation pour une troisième année, en attendant l’annonce officielle du transfert par le club.
Toujours selon la même source, ce recrutement vise à renforcer le secteur offensif du MAS, qui se prépare à disputer la nouvelle saison ainsi que les tours préliminaires de la CAF Champions League, après son sacre en championnat marocain.

Le journaliste indique également que la direction du club suivait Mabasa depuis le précédent mercato. Le joueur avait toutefois choisi de rester à Orlando Pirates, dans l’espoir de se rapprocher du record de meilleur buteur de l’histoire du club, avant d’être ensuite prêté.
Âgé de 29 ans, Tshegofatso Mabasa figure parmi les attaquants les plus en vue d’Afrique du Sud et compte plusieurs sélections avec l’équipe nationale. Si son transfert est officiellement confirmé, il disputera sa première expérience professionnelle dans le championnat marocain sous les couleurs du Maghreb de Fès.
Le MAS poursuit ainsi son renforcement estival afin de disposer d’un effectif compétitif pour relever les défis des compétitions nationales et continentales au cours de la prochaine saison.

Fès – Media reports indicate that Maghreb de Fès (MAS) has reached an agreement with South African international striker Tshegofatso Mabasa to strengthen the squad during the summer transfer window ahead of the 2026–27 season.
According to Ghanaian football journalist Micky Jnr, the player has signed a two-year contract with an option for a third season, pending an official announcement from the Moroccan club.
The report states that the signing is intended to bolster MAS’s attacking line as the club prepares for the upcoming domestic campaign and the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League, following its Moroccan league title triumph.
The same source added that the club had been monitoring Mabasa since the previous transfer window. However, the striker initially chose to remain with Orlando Pirates, hoping to move closer to becoming the club’s all-time leading scorer before later leaving on loan.
The 29-year-old forward is regarded as one of South Africa’s leading strikers and has represented the South African national team at international level. If the transfer is officially confirmed, it will mark his first professional experience in the Moroccan top flight with Maghreb de Fès.
