Madrid – Le chef du gouvernement espagnol, Pedro Sánchez, a affirmé mercredi 18 juin 2026 à Madrid que l’organisation conjointe de la Coupe du monde 2030 entre le Maroc, l’Espagne et le Portugal reflète la solidité de la coopération entre les trois pays et revêt des dimensions symboliques et stratégiques importantes, lors de la troisième réunion de la commission ministérielle chargée de la préparation de cet événement sportif mondial.
Dans son intervention devant la commission de suivi des préparatifs du Mondial, M. Sánchez a expliqué que l’Espagne relève ce défi aux côtés de « deux pays amis et voisins », en référence au Maroc et au Portugal, estimant que ce partenariat trilatéral constitue un modèle de coopération régionale dans l’organisation des grandes manifestations sportives internationales.
Le chef du gouvernement espagnol a ajouté que la Coupe du monde 2030 représente l’un des événements les plus importants de l’histoire récente de l’Espagne, étant la plus grande compétition sportive au niveau mondial, avec les enjeux économiques, touristiques, infrastructurels et de développement qui l’accompagnent.
Le Maroc, l’Espagne et le Portugal poursuivent la coordination de leurs efforts conjoints en vue de l’organisation de l’édition 2030 de la Coupe du monde, dans le cadre d’un projet sportif inédit reliant deux continents et renforçant les liens de coopération entre les deux rives de la Méditerranée.

Madrid – Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez stated on Wednesday, June 18, 2026, in Madrid that the joint hosting of the 2030 FIFA World Cup by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal reflects the strength of cooperation between the three countries and carries important symbolic and strategic significance, during the third meeting of the ministerial committee in charge of preparing this global sporting event.
In his speech before the committee overseeing World Cup preparations, Sánchez explained that Spain is taking on this challenge alongside “two friendly and neighboring countries,” referring to Morocco and Portugal, considering that the trilateral partnership represents a model of regional cooperation in organizing major international sporting events.
The Spanish Prime Minister added that the 2030 World Cup is one of the most important events in Spain’s recent history, as it is the largest sporting competition worldwide, along with its associated economic, tourism, infrastructure, and development stakes.
