The Fes–Saïss Association launched, on Friday January 9, 2026, the fourth edition of its solidarity initiative “Warm Winter,” a social operation aimed at alleviating the effects of the cold wave affecting the region during the winter season, for the benefit of vulnerable groups in the outskirts of the city of Fes.

This initiative is organized in partnership with the Regional Academy of Education and Training of Fes–Meknes, within a solidarity-based approach primarily targeting students from underprivileged families, thereby strengthening social support within the school environment.

This phase of the initiative took place at Oulad Moussa Primary School, التابعة to the Oulad Tayeb Commune in the Fes Prefecture, where 83 students benefited from the distribution of packages including winter clothing and protective blankets to help them cope with harsh weather conditions. The operation was also extended to students’ families, with mothers receiving nightwear, in a move aimed at supporting the family unit as a whole.

The distribution took place in the presence of members of the association and representatives of the regional academy, highlighting the importance of coordination between civil society and educational institutions in responding to urgent social needs. Beneficiary families expressed their satisfaction with the initiative, particularly in light of the significant drop in temperatures during this period.

Through the “Warm Winter” initiative, the Fes–Saïss Association continues to consolidate its approach based on active citizenship and social solidarity, by supporting the most vulnerable groups and contributing to the strengthening of social cohesion at the local level.
