Between 2019 and 2025: What Has the Third Phase of the National Initiative for Human Development Achieved in Taounate?

Earlier this week, the Provincial Committee for Human Development held its meeting at the headquarters of the Taounate Provincial Authority, as part of the third tranche of the past year. The meeting was chaired by Abdelkrim El Ghannami, Governor of the Province and President of the Committee, and attended by the President of the Provincial Council, heads of local committees, members of the provincial committee, as well as representatives of the media.

The meeting provided an opportunity to present the achievements of the third phase of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) at the provincial level over the period from 2019 to 2025. In this context, detailed presentations were delivered on the outcomes of the Initiative’s interventions, alongside a review of the actions carried out by the Provincial Association for the Support of Patients with Kidney Failure and Health Affairs in Taounate, as well as the results of the work of the Provincial Foundation for Economic and Social Development, which oversees the management of the Youth Guidance and Support Center, covering the period 2020–2025.

According to the data presented by the Head of the Social Action Division, the total number of projects and operations completed or scheduled under the efforts of various partners and stakeholders in the field of human development in the province between 2019 and 2025 reached 1,802 projects and initiatives, with an overall financial envelope estimated at approximately 744.5 million dirhams. These projects are distributed across the four programs of the National Initiative for Human Development.

Program One focuses on addressing deficits in infrastructure and basic social services in the least-equipped territorial areas. Program Two is dedicated to supporting people in vulnerable situations. Program Three targets income improvement and the economic integration of youth, while Program Four is aimed at strengthening human capital for future generations.
