Fez – The “Al-Marja” area (Allal side), التابعة to the Zouagha Al-Sofla district in the city of Fez, witnessed a disturbing incident moments ago, involving the partial collapse of the roof of a residential house, causing panic and heightened alert among nearby residents.
According to preliminary information obtained by Fes News, civil protection units, local authorities, and security services rushed to the scene immediately after being notified of the incident, in order to secure the area and begin emergency response and rescue operations.
While no official final toll has yet been announced, sources at the scene indicate the possibility of injuries among the occupants. Civil protection teams are currently working to verify this information and to transport any potential victims to hospital for necessary medical care, amid a gathering of local residents.
Meanwhile, the competent authorities are assessing the extent of the damage and evaluating the condition of the affected house as well as neighboring buildings, to prevent any further risks. An investigation has also been opened to determine the causes of the collapse, and whether it is linked to structural weakness or other contributing factors.
