The area surrounding Bab El Kissa, one of the prominent historical landmarks of the city of Fez, witnessed a partial collapse of a wall adjacent to the road on Tuesday evening. The incident resulted in material damage after several parked vehicles were affected, with no injuries reported.
According to available information, the collapse coincided with the recent rainfall experienced by the city over the past hours, suggesting that soil erosion and water saturation may have contributed to the wall’s failure, particularly given the fragility of some aging structures in the area.
The incident caused a state of alarm and concern among passersby and vehicle owners, as stones and debris scattered across the roadway, temporarily disrupting traffic and causing visible damage to at least one vehicle.
