Residents of the mountainous areas of “Bbouferrah” and its surroundings in Ifrane Province are experiencing increasing isolation as a result of snowfall that has covered several tracks and roads, further complicating access to basic services during this period.
The suffering of patients in particular is worsening as this situation persists, with many citizens facing great difficulty in reaching health centers or requesting emergency assistance in a timely manner, amid harsh weather conditions that make travel dangerous or nearly impossible.
Accumulated snow has cut off the road to several villages, disrupting residents’ daily movement, including access to essential supplies and travel for work or schooling, in addition to the suspension of certain services related to basic needs.
Pressure on families in the area is increasing due to the lack of mobility, making daily life more complicated and turning the simplest necessities into a challenge, especially for vulnerable groups, the elderly, and those suffering from chronic illnesses.
Residents of the area and neighboring villages are calling for immediate intervention by the relevant authorities to lift the isolation, by reopening roads, clearing snow, and providing urgent support measures, in order to reduce residents’ suffering and ensure a minimum level of mobility and access to essential services.
