Exclusive: President of the Fès-Meknès Chamber of Commerce Denies Social Media Post by One of Its Members and Confirms to Fès News: Only Three Members on Official Mission in Belgium

In an exclusive statement to Fès News, the President of the Fès-Meknès Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services corrected information circulating about the chamber’s delegation participating in an international forum in Brussels. The president confirmed that the number of members officially delegated on a mission is only three, based on official orders.

This clarification comes to refute previous reports, including those published by Fès News relying on members’ posts, claiming that five members participated in the international meeting of the Africa-Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP) held at the European Union headquarters.

The chamber president emphasized in his statement to Fès News that the presence of two other members in Belgium “was coincidental,” confirming that they did not receive any assignment or official mission order from the chamber’s administration. Therefore, their attendance does not represent any official mandate from the institution.

This official statement directly contradicts a social media post published by one of the members (whose presence the president described as coincidental) on his Facebook account, where he claimed to “represent” the Fès-Meknès Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services at this international event—an assertion completely at odds with the chamber president’s clarifications.
