Fez: Calls for Protest at a University Campus Fail to Attract Participants

An attempt to organize a protest today, Thursday, at one of the faculties of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez failed due to a complete absence of participants and almost no response to the calls circulated on social media by a group calling itself “Hurja Gen Z.”

According to on-site observations, only a very small number of individuals showed up at the supposed protest location but quickly left after realizing that organizing any form of protest was impossible due to the total withdrawal of potential supporters. Student sources attributed this failure to the fact that the call did not resonate on the ground and remained confined to the digital realm.

The campus and its surroundings remained completely calm, and regular classes continued in various lecture halls and rooms without any disruption from these calls, which did not succeed in moving beyond their virtual context.
