The community of Ortzag, part of the Taounate Province, is witnessing a pivotal moment in its development path with the launch of a long-awaited urban rehabilitation project. This initiative stands as a significant milestone in the history of the community, reflecting the result of collective effort and responsibility among its various components.
The total estimated cost of the project is approximately 23,071,447.20 Moroccan dirhams. It includes works related to road development, stormwater drainage, and public lighting systems, all aimed at enhancing the urban façade and improving residential and service life within the area.
This project follows a long series of continuous meetings between the municipal council and central and regional authorities, demonstrating sustained commitment and coordination.
The public session for opening bids is scheduled for October 3, 2025, at the headquarters of the Al Omrane Company in Fes, with the provisional guarantee for candidates set at 323,000 dirhams.
The project is expected to represent a qualitative leap in Ortzag’s local development trajectory, radically transforming its urban features and providing a new façade that meets the aspirations of its inhabitants. It will open the door to a new phase based on trust and joint institutional work.
It is worth noting that the Taounate Provincial Authority, supported by the provincial governor, has closely followed and supported the project’s various phases, helping to overcome previous obstacles and ensuring a favorable start.
