📰 Fez: Launch of a New Agreement to Improve Urban Bus Transport Services

The Fez City Council has announced that the company delegated to manage urban bus transport services has begun implementing the new agreement for this sector, starting this week, after fulfilling all the required legal conditions and obligations.

A statement issued by the President of the Fez City Council, Abdel Salam El-Bekkali, on September 8, 2025, explained that the new agreement follows the termination of the previous contract with the former operator. The agreement was approved during the council’s ordinary session in May 2025, before receiving validation from the central authorities of the Ministry of Interior.

The statement added that the new company will begin enforcing the terms of the agreement in the coming days, with the aim of improving the quality of transport services within the city and ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers.

This decision comes in response to residents’ demands, who have long suffered from inadequate public transport services and the deteriorating condition of buses. High expectations are now placed on the new agreement to bring about a qualitative shift in this vital sector, which directly affects the daily lives of thousands of citizens in Fez.
