Fes Welcomes a New Fleet of Buses to Boost Urban Transportation

Fes, Morocco – In a move aimed at enhancing urban transportation services and meeting the growing needs of the kingdom’s scientific capital, the city of Fes has received a new fleet of 40 modern buses, according to the “Morocco Buses” website. This initiative comes as part of the city’s preparation for major projects and workshops related to continental and international sports events, which require a modern and integrated infrastructure.

The new fleet consists of two different types of buses:

  • 30 buses of the Irizar I3/Scania model, each 12 meters long, are designed to meet the needs of the city’s most crowded routes.
  • 10 articulated buses of the Mercedes-Benz Conecto model, each 18 meters long, are ideal for high-density lines, which will help alleviate pressure on the main transportation axes.

These buses are equipped with the latest technical features and amenities, including Wi-Fi service, air conditioning systems, and dedicated spaces for people with special needs, ensuring a comfortable and safe transportation experience for all users.

The new fleet is expected to officially begin service with the start of the current school and university year. These buses will contribute to improving the flow of movement for both students and residents.
