Tangier Police Arrest Intoxicated Man Who Assaulted a Police Officer and Two Civil Protection Agents

Tangier, Morocco – Police officers in the Tangier security prefecture successfully arrested a 46-year-old man last Saturday after he verbally assaulted a female police officer and physically assaulted two Civil Protection agents while they were attempting to provide him with aid. The suspect, who has a criminal record, was in an advanced state of intoxication.

According to initial investigation reports, the suspect had been involved in a violent altercation with another individual, during which he used a bladed weapon, before proceeding to assault the security and civil agents who arrived at the scene. A video of the incident was circulated on social media platforms, which helped document part of the events.

The suspect, along with the other person involved in the violence, was arrested and placed under judicial investigation, supervised by the competent public prosecution.
