In Commemoration of the 72nd Anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People: A Scientific Symposium Held in Fez

Fez, Morocco – As part of the commemoration of the 72nd anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the People, the Historical Memory Space of Resistance and Liberation in Fez is organizing a scientific symposium entitled “Resistance and Liberation” on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

The symposium, which will be held in the conference hall of the Regional Directorate of Culture, includes a diverse program featuring the following events:

  • 10:30 AM: A visit to the Martyrs’ Cemetery to pay tribute to the souls of the martyrs of freedom and independence.
  • 11:00 AM: A visit to the Moussa Bin Nasser Association’s Zaouia.
  • 4:00 PM: The opening of the scientific symposium, featuring academic presentations by professors and researchers on various topics related to resistance and liberation. Among the notable speakers are:
    • Dr. Mohamed Mrayan, Professor of Higher Education at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences in Kenitra.
    • Dr. Khalid Touzani, Professor of Higher Education at Moulay Ismail University in Meknes.
    • Dr. Kawthar Abou Al-Eid, Researcher in Contemporary History.
  • 5:30 PM: A visit by the official delegation to the halls of the Historical Memory Space of Resistance and Liberation in Fez.

The organization of this symposium is part of ongoing efforts to valorize the national history and pass on the values of resistance and sacrifice to future generations.
