On the morning of Thursday, July 3, 2025, the Fez Security Directorate referred six individuals, including three minors aged between 16 and 23, to the competent public prosecutor. They are suspected of involvement in a case related to assault and battery and possession of bladed weapons under circumstances that pose a danger to people and property.
The police received a report on Tuesday about a group of individuals involved in causing nighttime disturbances and exchanging violent acts using bladed weapons in a public street. The criminal acts were captured in a video clip widely circulated on instant messaging applications via mobile phones.
Prompt intervention by police officers led to the arrest of six suspects, during which six bladed weapons were seized.
The adult suspects were placed under judicial custody, while the minors were held under supervision pending judicial investigation overseen by the competent public prosecutor to uncover all circumstances surrounding the case.
The detainees were brought before the court on Thursday, while investigations and inquiries continue to apprehend other individuals involved in these criminal acts.
