As part of the celebration of World Hypertension Day, the delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Ifrane, in partnership with the Moroccan Association for Heart Diseases, organized an awareness and sensitization day on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Level 2 Rural Health Center of Ait Yahya Ou Ala. The aim of this day was to enhance the population’s knowledge of hypertension risk factors and complications, and to raise awareness among at-risk individuals about the importance of hypertension screening.
A number of specialists in cardiology and vascular diseases, general practitioners, nurses, health technicians, and members from the “Everyone with the Heart” association participated in this awareness and sensitization day. Significant logistical resources were provided to support this program.
This day witnessed great turnout from the local population, who benefited from a range of health services, including specialized cardiac and vascular medical consultations, electrocardiograms, cardiac ultrasound examinations, blood pressure measurements, diabetes tests, cholesterol tests, and awareness and sensitization about the risks of hypertension and its complications.
This noble initiative was well-received by the population, who expressed their gratitude for this gesture.
