Meknes: Awareness Meetings on Measles Initiated by the Regional Health Delegation Under the Slogan: “We Must Stop Measles – With Vaccination, We Can Fight It”

As part of national efforts to combat measles, the Regional Delegation of Health and Social Protection in Meknes organized awareness-raising meetings on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at several educational institutions, including Mohammed Ben Abdellah Middle School, Dar Taliba M’haya, and Azoualt School.

These meetings featured educational presentations by a medical and nursing team, covering the definition of the disease, its symptoms, complications, and the critical role of vaccination in eradicating it, in line with the national immunization program.

The events saw significant participation, with 105 students attending at Mohammed Ben Abdellah Middle School, 110 female beneficiaries at Dar Taliba M’haya, and 84 participants at Azoualt School. Attendees showed great interest in the topic, engaging in discussions and asking questions that were thoroughly answered by specialists, helping to raise awareness about the dangers of measles and preventive measures.

The meetings concluded with an emphasis on the importance of collective participation in the national vaccination catch-up campaign launched by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection under the slogan: “We Must Stop Measles – With Vaccination, We Can Fight It.”
