A tragic incident occurred on the evening of Monday, March 3, 2025, in the Al-Wahda neighborhood of Bensouda, Fez, where a massive fire broke out inside a residential apartment, resulting in the death of a man in his forties.
According to available sources, the fire was caused by the explosion of a mobile phone charger, leading to severe burns and fatal smoke inhalation for the victim. The blaze also caused extensive material damage, consuming the entire contents of the apartment.
Emergency response teams, including civil protection units, local authorities, and national security forces, quickly intervened and managed to extinguish the fire after intensive efforts. The victim’s body was transferred to the Al Ghassani Regional Hospital morgue under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Meanwhile, security authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the incident, while the local community mourns the tragic loss with sorrow and frustration.
