5757 is Back in Service: Interior Ministry Facilitates Reporting on Fraud and Price Hikes!

The Moroccan Ministry of Interior has announced the reactivation of the national hotline 5757 to facilitate consumer complaints and observations regarding market supply, pricing, and the quality and safety of consumer products.

This measure comes as part of the authorities’ efforts to ensure the regular availability of essential goods in markets while strengthening monitoring mechanisms to protect consumers from illegal practices.

The 5757 hotline allows citizens across the country to directly contact consumer complaint reception and tracking units using landlines or mobile phones connected to national telecommunications networks. Necessary arrangements have been made in all provinces and regions to activate contact numbers and standby units, enabling citizens to submit their complaints and observations regarding market supply, pricing, and product safety.

Through this hotline, citizens can report fraud cases, illegal commercial practices, unfair competition, and any other violations that may require notifying the authorities or intervention by specialized monitoring services. This initiative is part of a comprehensive strategy to enhance consumer trust and ensure a fair and ethical commercial environment.

This step aligns with ongoing efforts to stabilize markets and enhance consumer protection, especially during peak demand periods for essential products, such as the month of Ramadan.
