As part of the ongoing preparations for the 17th edition of the International Agriculture Exhibition in Morocco, held under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Mr. Abdelghani Sbarr, Governor of the Meknes Prefecture, chaired a preparatory meeting on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, to discuss the organization of this major international event.
During the meeting, Mr. Kamal Hidan, Regional Director of Agriculture for the Fez-Meknes region and Deputy Delegate of the International Agriculture Exhibition in Morocco, delivered a detailed presentation on the 17th edition of the exhibition. He outlined the objectives set for this edition, as well as the arrangements and updates related to its organization in the city of Meknes. He highlighted the region’s significant agricultural resources and potential, making it an ideal location to host this event.
In his speech, the Governor emphasized the immense importance of this exhibition, which is considered a gain on all levels for the Meknes Prefecture and Morocco as a whole. He stressed that the exhibition serves as a platform for exchanging expertise and experiences in the agricultural sector, as well as showcasing agricultural products. He called on all attendees to fully engage in ensuring the success of this event and to provide the necessary support and take all measures to prepare the city of Meknes to host this important occasion under the best conditions.
To this end, special committees have been formed to oversee various aspects of the preparations, including: the Green Spaces Committee, the Roads and Signage Committee, the Public Lighting Committee, the Cleanliness Committee, the Decoration Committee, the Health Prevention Committee, and the Animation Committee.
It is worth noting that this edition, which will host France as the guest of honor, will take place from April 21 to 27, 2025, under the theme “Agriculture and Rural World: Water at the Heart of Sustainable Development.”
