Benkirane Expresses Discontent Over Aziz Ghali’s Remarks During Press Conference

During a press conference held yesterday, Abdelilah Benkirane, Secretary-General of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), expressed his dissatisfaction with what he described as the excesses of Aziz Ghali, pointing out that his recent statements had crossed political and ethical boundaries. Benkirane explained that such remarks harm sensitive national issues and open the door to criticisms that do not serve the public interest.

Benkirane began by emphasizing his support for freedom of expression but stressed the importance of responsibility when addressing national matters. He confirmed that Ghali’s statements lacked this sense of responsibility, particularly regarding the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.

Benkirane further noted that Ghali’s remarks went beyond even the official stance of the party to which he belongs, raising questions about his commitment to the principles of responsible political action. He added that such positions could be interpreted as support for anti-national stances, which is entirely unacceptable.

In conclusion, Benkirane called on Ghali to reconsider his positions and assess the impact of his statements on the national landscape, warning that continuing this approach could lead to negative consequences both politically and socially.
