Suspect Arrested in Agadir for Involvement in Commercial and Residential Thefts

On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, police in Agadir, acting on precise information provided by the General Directorate for National Territorial Surveillance, arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of being involved in a series of burglaries at commercial establishments and residential apartments.

The case began last Sunday when a complaint was filed with the Agadir police regarding a robbery at a bedding store, where a safe containing a significant amount of money and several banknotes was stolen. After conducting an investigation, the police identified the suspect, who had a criminal record, and arrested him on Tuesday evening.

During a search of the suspect’s home, the police seized the stolen safe, part of the stolen money, several bank checks, and payment slips. Additionally, they found equipment used to store surveillance camera recordings, a television, a computer tower, and various tools, including gloves and keys, which are believed to have been used to open locks.

Investigations suggest that the suspect may also be involved in similar thefts that occurred earlier in the city, including the theft of another commercial establishment and a residence.

The suspect is currently in police custody awaiting further investigation, overseen by the public prosecutor, to uncover all the details of the case and identify any other criminal activities he may have committed.
