Mini Medical Campaign Provides Comprehensive Health Services to Residents of Dayet Aoua in Ifrane Province

On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the rural commune of Dayet Aoua in Ifrane province witnessed the second phase of a mini medical campaign organized by the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Ifrane. This initiative was conducted under the supervision of the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection of Fez-Meknes, in partnership with provincial and local authorities and rural territorial communities.

The campaign aimed to enhance health services in rural areas, focusing on several key areas including improving maternal care, early cancer detection, monitoring chronic diseases, vision screening for students, and general health awareness.

To ensure the campaign’s success, a comprehensive medical team was mobilized, supported by advanced equipment, including three mobile medical units, an ambulance, and two trucks equipped with the latest medical technologies.

The campaign yielded tangible results, benefiting:

  • 102 people with general medical consultations
  • 101 women with breast cancer screening
  • 54 women with cervical cancer screening
  • 52 pregnant women with ultrasound examinations
  • 88 individuals with HIV screening
  • 144 people with laboratory tests

This initiative was greatly appreciated by local residents, affirming the importance of such campaigns in improving access to health services in remote areas and enhancing health awareness among the population.

The campaign underscores the ongoing efforts to bring quality healthcare to rural communities, addressing a wide range of health needs from preventive care to specialized screenings. It represents a significant step in bridging the healthcare gap between urban and rural areas in Morocco.
