An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale hit the coast of El Dreyouche, northern Morocco, in the early hours of Monday morning, according to the National Institute of Geophysics.
In a warning bulletin, the institute said that the tremor occurred at 1:40 minutes and 25 seconds am GMT+1, with its epicenter off the coast of the Dreiouche region.
The institute explained that the tremor was recorded at a depth of 16 kilometers, at the confluence of latitude 35.531 degrees north and longitude 3.502 degrees west.
