Sefrou.. Education staff escalate opposition to the new school schedule and management of the Pioneer Schools project

Sefrou – The National Federation of Education Staff in Sefrou announced on Sunday, September 28, 2026, its categorical rejection of the school schedule imposed on educational staff in primary education, as well as its condemnation of what it described as improvised management of the Pioneer Schools project.

In a statement issued today, a copy of which was obtained by Fes News, the union’s provincial office said that maintaining the current schedule constitutes an infringement of students’ right to education and a violation of equal opportunities, calling for a return to the regular educational schedule previously in effect.

The union said in its statement that it had contacted the provincial director regarding the schedule but had received no response, holding the provincial directorate responsible for the tensions occurring within educational institutions.

The provincial office highlighted what it considered violations accompanying the implementation of the Pioneer Schools project, including:

The imposition of demanding timetables, disregard for students’ interests, mandatory training outside working hours, and failure to address the deteriorating infrastructure of educational institutions.

The statement also called for the return of staff members who were transferred arbitrarily, the cancellation of assignments outside their educational cycle, the provision of human and logistical resources, and the granting of teachers their right to participate in transfers.

The National Federation of Education Staff threatened to undertake escalatory forms of protest, announcing a boycott of all operations related to the Pioneer Schools project and the organization of a warning protest sit-in on Wednesday, October 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in front of the Provincial Directorate in Sefrou.

Sefrou..
